Marcio Silveira, CFA, CFP
Marcio is a passionate and accomplished Financial Advisor committed to sustainable investments. He has been featured in the financial press including CNBC, InvestmentNews, and U.S. News & World Report.
In addition to holding Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations, Marcio is a subject matter expert with the CFP Board for exam question writing and review since 2013 and a Board Member of the Financial Planning Association, National Capital Area Chapter.
His interest in the impact of human feelings and behavior on financial decision making led to his completion of the Investment Decisions and Behavioral Finance Program at Harvard University in 2013, the Financial Planning Association Residency Program in 2012 and the Registered Life Planning Program (RLP) with the Kinder Institute of Life Planning in 2017.
Locally, he volunteers his planning expertise pro-bono with Britepaths and is the co-chair of pro-bono at the Financial Planning Association, National Chapter Area. In December of 2014, Marcio was the only financial advisor honored in the inaugural 40 under 40 class of Leadership Arlington. Marcio was also chosen to be part of the 2015 40 under 40 Class by InvestmentNews Magazine, which recognizes 40 young leaders in the investment advisory profession.
Prior to founding Silvergreen Sustainable Investments, Marcio was a lead advisor at Toler Financial Group and the founder of Pavlov Financial Planning, the first firm in the Washington, DC Area to serve only Generation X and Y
clients based on a monthly retainer fee model. Earlier in his career Marcio held leadership positions as a financial analyst and manager.
Marcio holds a degree in Economics from the Institute of Economics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and an MBA in Financial Economics from The Coppead School of Business. In his free time Marcio is a wine, culture, and language enthusiast.
